There is no need for any other type of roof ventilation, as the system draws in fresh air from outside, creates a circulating air movement throughout the house and moves outside. This air movement:

•  Continuously replaces stale air and extracts odours, fumes, and germs from inside your building at the same time  (a healthier environment and particularly useful if you have a work from home business) 
•  
•  Easy to use - at the touch of a button, you can INSTANTLY create a cool fresh breeze that moves over your skin and fills your rooms with fresh air (no need to wait  - by the time you kick off your shoes and turn on the coffee pot the hot air will be gone!  If you have an air conditioner, the Cardiffair system will remove the (sometimes) more than 45 degrees centigrade air so the aircon doesn't have to struggle to try and cool the hot air before it becomes effective)

• Removes the hot air from your roof space to bring the temperature up there to within a degree of two of your inside temperature.  This is a dramatic reduction, because some roof spaces can be up to 60 degrees centigrade (no other roof ventilation is required with a  Cardiffair system)

YOU control the Cardiffair unit once it's installed in your home, because the control pad on the wall allows you to choose the speed needed for the daily situation, and by strategically opening windows and doors in the rooms you're using, your comfort level can be set.

In a home, the Cardiffair system usually has an automatic louvre panel in the ceiling, opening when the system is turned on and closing when switched off ... this seals the opening from nasties.  Of course, when the Cardiffair system is running the force of the upward pressure is so great nothing will be able to get back down into the house.  See pictures below for Louvre panel and Electronic Controller.

Cardiffair is installed to suit your HOME

Most homes only need one Cardiffair installed - depending on the size and design of the home -  and this is usually installed in a common area, passage or hallway, or as centrally as possible to gain the best advantage of airflow.  (See PDF files under products - Domestic for various examples of typical installations).  

The motor, controller and other equipment is conveniently and unobtrusively housed in the roof space, and the wall control pad placed within easy reach of daily activities.  

• The need for summer insulation with a Cardiffair is dramatically reduced since the heat build up in the roof space is considerably dissipated

In a normal standard installation several panels of eave Vents are placed around the house and it is through these the stale air and odours are extracted back into the atmosphere.

Commercial and industrial applications frequently involve the installation of roof mounted canopies or ridge venting for discharging heat, fumes and odours, as these type buildings often don't have ceilings. See photo gallery for pictures.
